Dear Wentworth Residents,
The town of Wentworth has sent out notices to remaining residents who have still not licensed their dogs. This is a New Hampshire state statute, not a town ordinance, so it needs to be adhered to. I have as well posted a previous notice on our website, this being my second, in an attempt to try and get this matter resolved as amicably as possible.
I have also recently sent out written notices, and, followed up with phone calls. It is "NOT" our intent to issues summons and or have to follow up with warrants, our intent is to simply remind our residents that this needs to be taken care of so that no further action will be required.
I know that a lot of residents have come in and licensed their dogs since having received my letter, I want to say a sincere "Thank You" to those of you that have done so, and, I want to remind and encourage those who have yet to do so, to please come in and complete the process.
Thank you in advance for helping me take care of this matter.
Respectfully, Chief Wallace Trott

Unlicensed Dogs
Dear Wentworth Residents,
Please note that if you have not licensed your dog you need to do so ASAP. We have been tasked with issuing summonses for unlicensed dogs and unanswered summons will be followed up with warrants. I am asking that you address this accordingly so that we don't have to take a preventable unnecessary action such as issuing summonses and warrants. It is also cheaper for you to license your dogs than pay fines, penalties, and then license them on top of that.
Thank you,
Chief Wallace Trott
