Fund Raising Scam

Dear Wentworth Residents,

The Wentworth Police Department has conducted an investigation regarding recent e-mails that have been sent out to the public that has been determined to be a new type of scam.

The e-mail states that it is a fund raiser from an organization called FUNDLY. and is titled,

                                           Encourage Tasha

The e-mail has a logo on it from the New Hampshire Department of Health And Human Services and it is trying to solicit funds for a young girl by the name of "Tasha". The e-mail represents itself as having been sent by, or, is in some way associated with the New Hampshire Department of Health And Human Services

It shows a picture of a young female child and states that she has a medical condition that cannot be taken care of in the United States so she needs to raise funds so she can go to a specialist in the UK.

Please be advised that I have verified with the New Hampshire Department of Health And Human Services that this is a scam. Do not send these people any monies.

Please simply delete the e-mail and do not respond to it in any way.

Thank You
Chief Wallace Trott
